When AutoCut is the better buy
- You edit in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve and want the cuts to show up right there. AutoCut works inside those apps. With Cut It Out you open a second app and import a file.
- You want automatic zooms, reframing for social, or b-roll suggestions. Cut It Out doesn't do those.
When Cut It Out is the better buy
- You don't want to pay every year. AutoCut's AI plan is $178.80 a year, more than three copies of Cut It Out. Their silence-only plan is $79 a year, which is more than Cut It Out costs once.
- You don't edit in Premiere or Resolve. AutoCut doesn't work with Final Cut, ScreenFlow or CapCut.
- You want to own it. The version you buy keeps working on 3 computers at a time, even if you never pay us again.
What we are not claiming
AutoCut is a good product with more features and a bigger team. We haven't tested their silence detection against ours, so we won't say ours is more accurate. Their site doesn't say whether your video is processed on your computer or online, so we won't guess.
