No. All the editing happens on your computer and your footage never leaves your machine. The app does talk to our license server for two small things: checking your license, and, while you are on the free trial, keeping count of your three free exports. Neither one sends your video or anything about it. The trial count means the app needs an internet connection the first time you launch it; after that it works offline. See our privacy policy for exactly what is sent.
Not on any of the presets. They use voice-activity detection to cut only in genuine silences between speech, with adjustable padding so edits never feel clipped, and moving a slider keeps that same speech model running. Custom Tuning does have a “Speech aware editing” switch: turn it off and the app cuts on loudness alone, which is quicker but can clip a very quiet word. Leave it on and the speech model decides every cut.
A trimmed MP4/MP3/WAV, or a timeline for Adobe Premiere Pro (XML), Apple Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve (FCPXML), with the silences already removed.
